Founder & CEO

I've been building on
the next wave since
before it breaks.

I've spent 25 years building companies at the frontier of internet technology — from early search and streaming video to content networks and e-commerce. I've been part of teams that shaped how people use the web. Today I run Ragu.AI and build AI-native products across communication, biometrics, and personal AI.

25 years of building
at the frontier.

Every few years, a technology shift changes how businesses operate. I've been early to each one — not as an observer, but as a builder. I hold a granted U.S. patent (10,021,455) for a system that uses luminaire-based optical communication to identify content and determine viewership — an early step in the thinking that led to Nourova, for which I have a patent pending (US 18/330,111) — a real-time AI system that reads biometrics and continuously adapts content based on physiological response.

1996

Proposed an e-commerce curriculum at Penn

Designed an interdisciplinary program combining engineering, business, and liberal arts at the University of Pennsylvania — years before "e-commerce" was a widely used term. The university later adopted a formal version through Wharton.

2002

Part of the team that pioneered address bar search

At iWon.com, our small business development team discovered that a significant share of URLs typed into browsers were misspelled. We turned those broken links into search results — an innovation that helped shape how people search the web today. The search business grew substantially and contributed to an acquisition by Ask Jeeves.

2005

Founded one of the earliest streaming video networks

Built My Video Daily, applying distribution strategies from the search world to streaming video. The platform scaled rapidly in its early months, becoming one of the fastest-growing video properties at a time when YouTube was still in its infancy. Successfully exited the business in 2008.

2008

Founded a large-scale content network

Built what became the Answers Network — growing from a handful of niche sites to hundreds, with a team that scaled to dozens of people. The network reached 32 million monthly visitors. Developed the playbook for programmatic content creation and distribution at scale.

2015

Acquired and built Rebates.com

Applied distribution-first thinking to e-commerce, building a discount marketplace through innovative paid acquisition and cross-platform growth strategies. Successfully exited the business in 2023.

2022

Recognized the AI wave early. Built on it.

Saw a pattern familiar from the internet's early days and search before that. Started deep research, built a team, and developed a production RAG platform — which became Ragu.AI.

I've done this
transition before.

Every major technology wave requires the same thing: someone who's already built through one to help you build through the next. I work with founders and CEOs who are ready to run their businesses with AI — not just talk about it.

Live Build Sessions

90 minutes. We get on a call and actually build something together — an app, a workflow, a tool, a prototype. You walk away with something functional, not a deck of recommendations.

Fractional AI Strategy

Ongoing advisory for leaders who want a strategic partner embedded in their business. Organizational AI roadmap, async access, and the judgment of someone who's built through multiple technology transitions.

Enterprise AI Infrastructure

Through Ragu.AI, my team builds production-grade AI systems for premium brands — the kind of infrastructure that runs quietly and reliably at scale.

What I'm building now.

AI-native products, enterprise infrastructure, and new protocols for how people communicate and create.

Thinking out loud.

On building with AI, running companies, and what happens when you stop treating intelligence as a tool and start treating it as infrastructure.
